Family Law Attorney Position in Orange County

Costa Mesa, CA

Family Law Associate Position in Orange County

Position: Attorney (Family Law)

Location: Orange County, California (Costa Mesa Office)

Work Arrangement: In-person at the office or hybrid arrangement.

Our firm seeks an attorney with family law experience to join our team in our Costa Mesa office. The candidate will work closely with the managing partner, B. Robert Farzad. We are not replacing anyone at our firm. We are adding to our team.

We are a premier family law firm with an excellent reputation with the bench and bar.

Pay and Benefits: The position pays $150,000 to $225,000 annual salary, depending on years of family law experience and skill. The role also includes discretionary bonuses, eligibility for health insurance benefits and 401(k), and payment for approved continuing education. Additional details, terms, and conditions will be provided during the interview.

Experience Required: This position is for an attorney with a minimum of 2 years of family law experience. The experience should include hands-on work with family law matters. We handle both contested and uncontested cases. Many of our cases involve complex financial and custody issues.

We are highly selective about the clients we represent and will not take on clients who are abusive, dishonest, or high conflict personalities. We place great value on the quality of work life for everyone at our firm, and that includes representing good and honest people.

Person We Seek: We take the practice of family law seriously and seek candidates who are meticulous and strategic in their work. We expect professionalism and respect toward our clients, opposing counsel, and the court. Our attorneys are strong advocates who approach cases thoughtfully and thoroughly.

The candidate must be able to manage the paperwork and case preparation aspects of a family law caseload with limited supervision.

The role is well suited for an attorney who enjoys the analytical, drafting, and organizational components of family law practice. The candidate does not need courtroom experience. This position can lead to experience handling hearings, but courtroom experience is not required to apply. In addition to representing paid clients, we are known for our pro bono advocacy for victims and survivors of domestic violence. The candidate would also work with Mr. Farzad for these clients inside and outside the courtroom.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-tech environment. Our attorneys are expected to continually improve their knowledge and professional skills.
